We are Straight Medical, the premier physician-assisted, comprehensive health and weight management program.

For over 15 years, our board-certified doctors, dietitians, and nutritionists have developed and refined a program and product line that is nutritionally sound, medically safe and proven effective.

Our program features a wide variety of great tasting, medical-grade meal replacement bars, cookies, cupcakes, shakes, and soups. All of our recipes include the highest quality ingredients to provide delicious, balanced, all natural, portion-controlled meals and snacks. They also feature our proprietary ThinAdventure Fiber™ to curb hunger and leave you satisfied to help you reach your goals.

Our program, along with guidance from your medical professional, is designed to empower you to improve the way you look, feel and age, while achieving and maintaining a healthy weight.

THE PROGRAM


Because each patient is different, our program starts with your medical professional conducting an assessment to determine your recommended caloric intake.

The key to our program is eating small portions throughout the day, which has been scientifically proven to alleviate glycemic fluctuations and the feelings of hunger.

This can be accomplished by eating one Straight Medical cookie every 2-3 hours, 6 times a day, or by eating the equivalent in protein bars, shakes or soups. Refer to your product guide for substitutions and details.

Another key component of our program is to consume the correct amount of water throughout the day.

You must drink at least 8-12 ounces of water with every meal, for a minimum of 64 ounces per day. Water activates our patented Thin Adventure fiber, blended proteins, and amino acids, which eliminates hunger and helps you feel full.

We recommend drinking filtered water and avoiding any drinks containing sugar.

We have also designed a line of flavored water enhancers that not only taste great, but also contain super fibers to help you feel satisfied throughout the day.

A TYPICAL DAY


Within the first hour of waking, eat one cookie or an equivalent meal replacement product along with 8 to 12 oz. of water. Repeat every 2-3 hours, 6 times a day.

If cravings occur, we have supplements, such as Proprietary Hunger Block to help curb your appetite.

Dinner consists of 6-12 ounces of lean protein like chicken, fish or turkey, plus 3 to 5 servings of green leafy vegetables, like kale, spinach, or broccoli. Combining proteins with green leafy vegetables creates a healthy synergy of complex carbohydrates and proteins to burn calories more efficiently.

You may break up your vegetable servings by substituting a small spinach salad and vegetables, or you may have one large salad topped with lean protein.

Your medical professional will evaluate how many ounces of protein you will need. Red or preserved meats are not permitted.

Vegetables may be frozen, canned, raw, steamed, roasted, grilled, sauteed, boiled or baked.

Our program allows for flexibility. You may substitute your dinner for lunch, or even dine at restaurants, as long as you follow your guidelines.

FOODS TO AVOID


Our products are specifically formulated to buffer sugar with super fibers and blended algae proteins, but there are certain foods that will derail your weight loss efforts and must be avoided. These are bread, fruit, pasta, corn, rice and potatoes, sugary juices, including lemon and lime, alcoholic beverages, coffee creamers, and of course, natural sugar.

FOLLOW UP


It is important that you follow up with your medical professional after the first week of being on the plan.

Your medical professional is available to answer questions, provide guidance, encouragement, and tailor the plan to make sure you are staying healthy. Be sure you address any questions or concerns at this time. After your appointment you may continue the daily and weekly schedule for the first full month.
